Covid 19 Restrictions

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Gemini Walks has worked closely with all of its valued clients to ensure that they receive the best possible advice and support

We took the approach at the very outset of the pandemic that we would cancel and/or reschedule walks as a courtesy to our clients with no fees being charged. This is not withstanding the cost of the accommodation rising. For example, for 2021 walks being rescheduled to 2022 and the accommodation providers increasing their rates

Payments

Gemini Walks charge a £50.00 per person deposit with the remaining balance being due five weeks prior to the start of the holiday

If your walk was unable to proceed due to any of the below named Covid related reasons then you are entitled to have your deposit and/or remaining balance refunded or, as most clients have done in the past, carried their monies across to a future walk

Cancellation Due To Covid-19 Restrictions

Obviously, we are thinking positive that all walks go ahead next year and are not scuppered by Covid but if so then the following may apply

There are various reasons why you may be unable to proceed with your holiday due to Covid-19 restrictions:

1. It may transpire that travel (including non-essential travel) is advised against by The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (or equivalent government body of your country of origin) to your destination. Including any national and/or local authorities that advise against travel within the United Kingdom

2. You may be required to quarantine upon arrival into the United Kingdom and vice versa, you may be required to quarantine upon return from the resort destination

3. If the national and/or local authority of your place of residence pass laws or put in place restrictions which prevent you from travelling to the destination. An example would be the implementation of a local lockdown.

4. If you have tested positive for Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone diagnosed with Covid-19 and have to self isolate

5. If you have been contacted by the NHS Track & Trace and advised not to travel

Be rest assured that Gemini Walks will do our utmost to find the best solution for you in the event that your walk could not go ahead. We are always on hand to discuss options and have a wee blether about the best way forward
